Tekamah-Herman sweeps Lyons-Decatur Northeast

The Tekamah-Herman Tigers ended the regular season on a high note, defeating Lyons-Decatur Northeast 3-0 at home on Tuesday.

Tekamah-Herman won set one 25-17, set two 25-20, and set three 25-19.

It was a dominant win for the Tigers. It's exactly the type of win Tekamah-Herman needed heading into sub districts.

The Tigers (16-13) battle Fort Calhoun (12-15) in the C1-6 sub district at Fremont Middle School on Monday.

Tekamah-Herman met the Pioneers on September 19th in the Tekamah-Herman Tourney, and won 2-1.

Fort Calhoun lost 3-1 at home to Arlington on Tuesday to end the regular season.

I think this match is going to be a dog fight between the Tigers and Pioneers.

I could easily see this match going five sets with both teams' seasons on the line.

The winner gets either Arlington or Logan View in the sub district final at 8:00 Monday night.

I'm sure Tekamah-Herman would love to advance to the sub district final.

In order to do that though the Tigers have to bring their "A" game.

Tekamah-Herman has to play the way they did against Lyons-Decatur Northeast, not Howells-Dodge.

Only the Tigers' best effort will allow them to get where they want to. The season is on the line for Tekamah-Herman, and the Tigers have to be ready to rock and roll Monday evening.

Match time is set for 6:30 p.m.
