Bancroft-Rosalie wins regular season finale over Omaha Nation

The Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers won their final regular season match on Monday, winning 3-0 at home against Omaha Nation.

Bancroft-Rosalie won set one 25-15, set two 25-11, and set three 25-16.

Tess Nottleman had 10 kills while Vicki Gatzmeyer notched 7. Kassidi Browning totaled 14 set assists while Lauren Zuhlke compiled 8 set assists and 9 ace serves.

The Panthers played a good match on Monday. Bancroft-Rosalie really needed a lift heading into the postseason, and got it.

The Panthers (13-16) take on Humphrey St. Francis (16-12) in the D2-3 sub district tournament at Guardian Angels Central Catholic on Monday.

Bancroft-Rosalie defeated the Flyers 2-0 at the Cedar Bluffs Invitational on September 12th.

Humphrey St. Francis defeated Palmer 2-0, but lost 2-0 to Shelby/Rising City at their home triangular on Friday.

I think the Panthers have a good chance to not only win this match, but the sub district.

There is no clear cut team in this sub district, and as far as I'm concerned, it's up for grabs.

Bancroft-Rosalie already knows they can beat the Flyers, and that could be a huge advantage for the Panthers mentally.

Bancroft-Rosalie has stumbled down the stretch, but perhaps the win over the Chiefs got this team back on track.

We will find out on Monday if that win gave the Panthers any momentum or confidence. This is it for the Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers. This team will be no more after this season. Bancroft-Rosalie has to make the most of their chances this week.

Monday's match is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
