Logan View drops final two regular season matches
The Logan View Raiders dropped their final two matches of the regular season, losing 2-0 to Stanton and North Bend Central on Tuesday at their home triangular.
The Tigers took set one from Logan View 25-21, and won set two 25-11.
The Mustangs won set one 25-6, and took set two 25-16.
These were very difficult matches for the Raiders. Logan View did a good job competing with North Bend Central for a set, but just couldn't quite keep up with the Tigers, or Stanton for that matter.
The Raiders (3-29) take on Arlington (19-7) in the C1-6 sub district at Fremont Middle School on Monday.
These two teams did not meet in the regular season.
The Eagles defeated Ashland-Greenwood 3-0 on Thursday and won 3-1 at Fort Calhoun on Tuesday.
Arlington has won 13 out of their last 14, and has played great volleyball as of late.
Logan View definitely has a tremendous challenge on their hands, there's no doubt about it.
The Raiders are going to have to play the match of their lives to compete and ultimately come away with the win.
It's the postseason and anything can happen. Logan View has to come out and play like there's no tomorrow, because if they don't win this sub district, their season is over.
I look for the Raiders to come ready to play Monday evening.
I don't know if Logan View will win, but I think the Raiders have a chance to make a set or two competitive, and perhaps steal a set from the Eagles.
The match is set to begin at 5:00. The winner gets either Fort Calhoun or Tekamah-Herman in the sub district final at 8:00 p.m. the same night.
