Oakland-Craig falls to Fremont Bergan

The Oakland-Craig Knights lost 2-0 to Fremont Bergan at their home Triangular Tuesday night.

Bergan won set one 25-20 and set two 25-13. It's unclear how Oakland-Craig fared in their other match against Logan View.

Oakland-Craig played well in set one, they just couldn't sustain the same level of play in set two and force a third set.

The Knights (4-20) take on Twin River (16-8) in the first round of the East Husker Conference Tournament in Genoa on Thursday.

The Titans finished 1-2 at the Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family Tourney on Saturday, downing the host Bulldogs 2-1, and losing 2-0 to Clarkson/Leigh and Howells-Dodge.

Twin River is a good team, and Oakland-Craig is going to need to play much better than they have been if they hope to upset and compete with the Titans.

Oakland-Craig was competitive in a set against Fremont Bergan, now Oakland-Craig just needs to figure out how to play at a high level for an entire match.

The season is winding down, and the Knights need to find a way to turn the corner before season's end.

There's not a whole lot of time left for Oakland-Craig to get their season turned around so the Knights need to do something in this tournament to give themselves momentum for the rest of the season.

Oakland-Craig needs something positive to happen. The Knights have to create their own magic, and figure out a way to get things turned around.

There's still time left for Oakland-Craig to get this ship righted, and so the Knights have to keep clawing and fighting in an effort to get over the hump.

Oakland-Craig has to come out fighting and must play with a purpose against Twin River on Thursday.

The odds may be stacked against the Knights, but Oakland-Craig has to overcome the odds and any obstacles that might be in their path.

The Knights have to give it their best shot on Thursday, and play well on Saturday as well.

Oakland-Craig has to find a way to play better and stop the bleeding. I think the Knights can definitely do that in this tournament.
