Logan View finishes 1-3 at East Husker Conference Tournament

The Logan View Raiders went 1-3 at last week's East Husker Conference Tournament, losing 2-0 to Howells-Dodge and BRLD at Howells-Dodge on Thursday, before beating Madison 2-0 and losing 2-0 to Oakland-Craig on Saturday at Wisner.

The Jaguars topped the Raiders 25-6 in set one, and 25-7 in set two.

The Wolverines beat Logan View 25-13 in the first set, and 25-14 in the second set.

The Raiders defeated the Dragons 25-19 in set one, and 25-21 in set two.

The Knights downed Logan View 25-13 in the first set, and 25-16 in the second set.

I thought the Raiders did a good job to beat Madison, but Logan View's struggles remained in their other matches.

The Raiders (3-22) host Wisner-Pilger (15-11) and Scribner-Snyder (8-15) in their home triangular on Thursday.

The Gators went 3-1 at the EHC Tournament, beating West Point-Beemer and Clarkson/Leigh 2-1, and Scribner-Snyder 2-0, but losing 2-1 to Stanton.

The Trojans finished 2-2 at the tournament, beating Madison and Pender 2-0, but falling 2-0 to Wisner-Pilger and BRLD.

Both teams are playing fairly respectable Volleyball right now, and had respectable showings at the EHC Tournament.

I don't think either team will be easy for Logan View. I think both teams will provide difficult and different challenges for the Raiders.

Logan View has to rise up and play well. It's the final time these seniors will ever play matches on their home floor.

The whole team has to step up their game for the seniors, and play for them.

I look for the Raiders to play inspired, and give both opponents their best shot.

I don't know if Logan View will have enough in the tank to take a match from either opponent, but I feel like the Raiders have a shot to take a set from Scribner-Snyder, and compete in all sets against the Gators.

Logan View will be tested, there's no doubt about it, so we will see if the Raiders can rise to the challenge and play well.

I think Logan View has a chance to compete and make things interesting against both opponents, I just don't know if the Raiders can knock off either team.

It's going to take two flawless performances from Logan View for the Raiders to get the job done.

Logan View has to eliminate, or at least limit hitting errors and service errors.

The Raiders have to serve, pass, hit, block, and serve receive well.

Logan View has to make the Trojans and Gators earn their points the hard way.
