Oakland-Craig splits home and Stanton Triangulars
The Oakland-Craig Volleyball Team beat Arlington 2-0, but lost 2-0 to GACC at their home Triangular last Thursday night before beating Tekamah-Herman 2-0, and falling 2-0 to Stanton at the Stanton Triangular Tuesday night in action heard on 107.9 the Bull.
The Knights downed the Eagles 25-22 in set one and 25-15 in set two.
The Bluejays beat Oakland-Craig 27-25 in set one and 25-15 in set two.
The Mustangs won 25-12 in set one and 25-11 in set two.
Oakland-Craig won the first set over the Tigers 25-21 and the second set 25-19.
Good wins for the Knights against Arlington and Tekamah-Herman.
Oakland-Craig (5-11) takes part in the Clarkson/Leigh Invite on Saturday.
The Knights played the Patriots, BRLD, and Cross County in the Tournament last year.
Challenging tournament for sure, but a chance for Oakland-Craig to do well and compete too I feel.
Oakland-Craig has to use the momentum they've gained from their last two wins and build upon it on Saturday.
The Knights have a lot of talent, and I think started to play better Volleyball at the end of last week and earlier this week.
Oakland-Craig competed tough in a set against GACC, and if the Knights can play like that every set of every match then they could be pretty darn tough.
It's about playing at a high level and being consistent if you are Oakland-Craig.
The Knights have to raise their level of play even more than I feel they have lately, and make a run soon.
Oakland-Craig has some tough matches coming up so the Knights have to start winning some of these matches against quality teams.
Oakland-Craig doesn't really have that signature win yet this season, and has dropped some matches to teams with records below .500.
Perhaps things will change and the Knights will pick up that win or those wins on Saturday.
Time is running out for Oakland-Craig to make a run, yet there is still time for the Knights to do so.
Oakland-Craig has a lot of talent and veteran experience on this team, the Knights just need to simply put things together.
It can happen too, all it takes is a run of good play and a high level of execution.
If Oakland-Craig is on top of their game on Saturday I don't think there's any limit to what they can do.
The Knights have to keep fighting and must believe that they still have a run to make this season because it is definitely possible and can definitely happen.
Oakland-Craig simply has to go out there and make it happen.
