Overview:
The Winnebago Indians look to continue to make strides in their program after going 13-16 last year, an improvement from their 9-20 record the year before.
Winnebago figures to be young this year though as there are only a couple of key returners from last year in Natasha Deal and Keisha Snyder.
It will be interesting to see how the young and up and coming players grow and develop this year.
I think the Indians are going to need some of their younger players to step up and contribute and be leaders this year.
Great teams and successful programs reload and that's exactly what Winnebago hopes to do this year.
Of course everything is dependent and contingent upon the coronavirus pandemic, and it not shutting us down.
Hopefully that doesn't happen, and hopefully we get an entire season.
Season Outlook:
Winnebago looks to have an even better season this year than they did last year.
The younger players have to develop and grow as the season progresses.
Winnebago has to step up and make plays and continue to build upon what they've done the last couple of seasons.
If the Indians could have a winning season this year I think that would be a huge deal and another huge step in the right direction.
The Indians' schedule sets up where they can win some matches once again this season.
Winnebago has to win the matches they're supposed to, win the 50/50 matches, and compete well in and narrow the gap in the tougher matches.
The Indians have to play confident, and be very grateful and thankful that they have the opportunity to play High School Volleyball this year.
Winnebago can't take any match or set or point for granted, and has to give 110% each time out.
The Indians have to treat every practice and match as if it could be their last because it could.
Winnebago has to social distance when possible and be as safe as they can.
The Indians begin the season on Tuesday at Tri County Northeast.
