Winnebago 0-3 in last three matches
The Winnebago Indians still cannot buy a win as they lost 3-2 at home to Walthill last Thursday night, and fell 2-0 to Ponca and Allen at the Ponca Triangular on Tuesday.
Winnebago took set one from the Blujays, 25-19. Walthill won set two 25-18 before taking set three 25-23. The Indians won set four 26-24 before the Blujays claimed set five 15-13.
Deonna Harris had 9 kills and 8 digs while Allie Frenchman totaled 14 digs.
The Eagles defeated Winnebago 25-17 in set one, and 25-22 in set two.
Frenchman and Jasmine Colvin finished with 7 digs apiece.
Ponca downed Winnebago 25-5 in the first set, and 25-16 in the second set.
Frenchman put down 7 blocks.
Winnebago has tried their hardest to pick up a win I'm sure, and came close against Walthill, but success just hasn't come the Indians' way so far this season.
Winnebago (0-7) hosts their own tourney on Saturday.
I bet it will be nice for the Indians to get back home after traveling to Ponca earlier this week.
Winnebago has to be ready and excited for this tourney.
The Indians have to do everything in their power to win all three matches, and have to believe in themselves.
It has been a tough season for Winnebago so far, but that doesn't mean the Indians can't get things headed in the right direction on Saturday.
Winnebago has to be ready to play on Saturday, and has to want it more than their opponent.
The Indians have to keep fighting and battling no matter what the score on the scoreboard reads.
Winnebago has to treat every point and every set with the utmost importance, and can't take any plays off.
Serving, passing, hitting, attacking, and serve receive all have to be good for the Indians.
Winnebago can't make mental errors, and must execute at a high level.
The Indians can't beat themselves. Winnebago has to make all three of Saturday's opponents earn their points.
The Indians have to be tough physically and mentally. Winnebago has to challenge their opponents on every point and in every set.
The Indians have to make life difficult on the competition. Winnebago can't make things easy on anyone they play.
The Indians have to keep believing that better days are ahead.
