Oakland-Craig looking for successful season

Team: Oakland-Craig

Mascot: Knights

Colors: Orange and White

Class: C-2

Head Coach: Chelsey Quigley

2014 record: 20-14

Returning Starters: N/A

Overview:

The Oakland-Craig Knights hope to be good in 2015 after going 20-14 last year.

It's unknown who will start and who returns for Oakland-Craig, but the Knights will most likely look to build off the success they had last year and have even more success this year.

Oakland-Craig came up with a few good wins last year, but also lost some matches they weren't supposed to.

The Knights played a difficult schedule, and that no doubt helped them beat a good Wakefield team in sub districts.

I think Oakland-Craig can build on that postseason win, and allow it to lead to success this season.

Teams often look for momentum builders to make themselves stronger the next season, and I think the win over the Trojans is something the Knights can use to be successful this year.

It's important for Oakland-Craig to work hard in practice and during matches. The Knights have to execute in every facet of the game and make teams earn their points.

Oakland-Craig can't give points away.

The Knights have to be committed and dedicated to success this season. Oakland-Craig will no doubt be challenged at times, but resolve, perseverance, and mental toughness are the things that will allow the Knights to get over the hump.

Without knowing anything about the team it's hard to say about how many matches Oakland-Craig will win.

Season Outlook:

The Oakland-Craig Knights hope to be competitive this season.

Oakland-Craig has tough matches against Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family, North Bend Central, Stanton, Howells-Dodge, West Point-Beemer, and Wisner-Pilger.

The Knights will have a number of tough matches this season, including in tournaments, so Oakland-Craig has to be ready to go from the get go every time they play.

One would think the Knights have the potential to beat quite a few of the weaker teams on their schedule and step up and knock off a quality team or two.

Oakland-Craig may lose to a few teams they're not supposed to, but could make up for it by knocking off some quality teams, like last year.

It's not going to be an easy season for the Knights by any means. They will be challenged night in and night out, and have to be ready to bring it every match.

Oakland-Craig is in a really tough sub district so the Knights have to play as well as they can during the regular season to build for the postseason.

It's hard telling how good this team is going to be this season, but if Oakland-Craig controls what they can control, they should have a chance to be successful.

The Knights have to remain healthy. Oakland-Craig can't afford to have players miss time due to injury. Injuries are part of the game, but the Knights will be better off if they can avoid the injury bug.

It will be interesting to see how Oakland-Craig fares this season. I'm interested to see if this team is improved from last year, or if they aren't as good or the same.
