2014 record: 5-27
Returning Starters: N/A
Overview:
The Logan View Raiders are under new leadership as Doug Bartek takes over the program.
Bartek inherits a team that went 5-27 a year ago, and lost its final 14 matches of the season.
There's no doubt that Logan View will have to find a way to create momentum given the way last season ended.
Everything has to be positive for the Raiders this year.
Logan View's players can't afford to have a negative attitude. That's not saying they have in the past, but it's easy to get down on oneself when struggling.
Hard work, determination, will, and sacrifice are the things that will allow this year's team to be successful.
Everyone has to understand and accept their roles, whether that's starting, subbing, or sitting the bench.
It's hard to change the culture of a program, but that's what the Raider players will try and do this season.
It's a new year, and Logan View has to be feeling optimistic about their chances of succeeding this year.
The Raiders have to fight, scratch, and claw every time out, and cannot give up.
Without knowing anything about Logan View, it's hard saying how good they will be this year, but I would say the Raiders have a chance to be more competitive this year than they were a season ago.
Season Outlook:
Logan View has to be excited and energized given the fact they have a new coach.
Like every other team the Raiders have a lot of winnable matches on the schedule, but a lot of toughies as well.
Logan View figures to be challenged by West Point-Beemer, Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family, Wayne, Oakland-Craig, Wisner-Pilger, Stanton, and North Bend Central.
Those matches appear to be the toughest for the Raiders, and Logan View will most likely be challenged by certain teams in tournaments as well.
It's not going to be an easy season for the Raiders whatsoever. I'm sure there's plenty of room for improvement with this team.
It's very important for Logan View to keep improving as the season progresses. The Raiders can't afford to have an ending to the season like they did last year.
Logan View has to establish an identity, and play with attitude. The players have to care about winning, and must play with school pride and passion.
The players have to take pride in the fact they are Raiders.
Logan View definitely has their work cut out for them, but if the Raiders continue to battle hard throughout the season, they could win more matches than they did last year.
It's hard saying how many matches Logan View will win this year, but I wouldn't be completely shocked if the Raiders doubled their win total. I think anywhere from 8-10 wins is definitely doable.
